Julie Chen Moonves hosts the popular summer reality show Big Brother, which returned to its 22nd season from the 5th of August on CBS.Chen Moonves was one of the original hosts of the Emmy-nominated Daytime talk show The Talk, serving as moderator and host from the year between 2010 and 2018. The true passion of her life was writing and she was awarded an Emmy. Then she won a second Emmy as a host of an outstanding entertainment talk program. From 2002 until 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor, and also the news anchor on The Early Show. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. In Cairo, she scoured down and talked to the father of hijackers to an eye-opening, fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news program, profiling celebrities including Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter and anchor for WCBS-TV, the CBS-owned station that was based in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). Prior to that, she worked as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's associated news service (1992-1995) as well as a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) as well as finishing her last year of college in the University of Southern California. The desk was hers to ABC News' Nightline program alongside Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the primetime special that won the Columbia du-Pont award and examined what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
