Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these instances. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. In the years following her stay in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. She also works as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys.
